Though these designs didn't come to fruition until 2021, a year prior, the practice was born in an intensive care unit when a twin brother asked his twin sister “what would you like for Christmas?” "Well, to make art with you." 

That was the start of Donkey and Lion Cards. Over the course of November and December, Danger and Princess, (The Lion and the Donkey) created handmade cards for family, friends, and staff while at the Toronto General Hospital. The joy that each card brought to the individuals at the hospital was overwhelming. The results of their combined team work filled their hearts and brought a little normalcy to their lives.
